I've stumbled across these wipes as I was strolling around in Boots, and I thought these might be perfect for when I'm travelling. One less liquid I have to worry about. But do they actually work?

I’ve never heard of this concept before, so I was really excited to see how they perform. When I’m travelling I usually carry around some instant brush cleansers with me, but it would be a lot easier just to take these wipes away. That’s one less product that can leak in my bag…

Edit: I try to reduce how much trash I leave behind and I try to cut out wipes as much as possible. I feel like it’s still okay for travelling purposes, but I wouldn’t use it on an everyday basis.

As it says on the packaging they are pre-moistened wipes and they feel just like a regular face wipe would. The idea is really easy, you just take your dirty brush, swirl it around on the cloth and that’s it. It only takes a couple of seconds to dry, it’s even quicker than my spray cleansers. It removed any stains and colours as long as they were powder residues, but it couldn’t completely deal with a cream product like concealer, you’ll see it on the close-up pictures. To be honest the sprays can’t remove creamy products from the bristles either, for that you need a proper wash. If you want to remove gel eyeliners though, you can do it with this, that works.  All in all, I think it’s a great product, perfect for travelling or if you don’t have many brushes at home and you need a quick cleanse between colours.

I’ve never heard about cleansing wipes for the brushes before, but after some google research it turns out, that although there isn’t a huge selection out there, you can definitely find some more. What’s even better, I found cruelty-free versions too. If you don’t want to spend money on the EcoTools ones you can also try E.L.F. Cosmetics wipes, too. Those are the next on my list to try.  Wet n’ Wild also has them, but the brand is not that easily accessible in the UK. I’ve found other brands as well, but those were not cruelty-free.

Have you ever heard of makeup brush cleansing cloths? What do you think of this concept?

Have a lovely day!
