Source of Nature is a brand I came across at the aisles of the local Sainsbury's. I was in a real hurry and in desperate need of hand cream. I didn't want to compromise my promise to shop cruelty-free and I was hoping they have something I can use. That's when I first came across the brand.

I believe Source of Nature is Sainsbury’s own brand, as I can’t find it anywhere else online. They are a cruelty-free brand and promise to be vegan, 95% of the ingredients are natural and the range is really affordable.

The hand cream I’ve picked up was only £2.00, it won’t break the bank for sure. I wasn’t sure what to expect since I’ve never heard of the brand, and let’s be real. We can all be a bit skeptical when something is so low in price. I was pleasantly surprised though. The cream is nice and nourishing and it sinks into my skin quickly. If your hands are super dry I doubt this cream will be enough for you, but it is perfect for a quick little moisture fix.

After the hand cream was a success I gave their eye makeup remover a go along with the day cream. For  £2.00 and  £3.50 you can’t really go wrong. I loved them both.

The eye makeup remover contains green tea extracts, sunflower and buriti, and sunflower oil. I’ve never heard of buriti oil before, but after a quick search on the internet, it all makes sense. It’s the oil of a fruit, that can help damaged skin (like burns or cuts) and can also help to heal dry and cracked skin. It is a two-phase remover, so you have to give it a good shake before pouring some on a cotton pad. I found it to be really effective even with waterproof mascara and although it leaves a bit of an oily film on the skin it’s nothing horrible. I go all over my face with another cleanser anyway, so this never bothered me.

I’m always skeptical about really affordable day creams, as I had some not so pleasant experience in the past, but the Source of Nature Daycream with white tea & liquorice was a pleasant surprise. It has a light formula that sinks into my skin quickly but still leaves it feeling moisturized. When the weather turned extremely cold it wasn’t quite enough on its own, but usually, I need additional help in those times anyway. It doesn’t contain any SPF, so I do use it day and night. I know that they also have a night cream (and an anti-aging range) in their collection so I might pick it up next time while grocery shopping.

What do you think? Have you given any of their products a go?

Have a lovely day!
