I wasn't really thinking about writing about this look. I wasn't really planning on doing it either, but as I was sitting on my bed at night one day I felt the urge to do some makeup. So I sat down at my table around 10 pm (I know...) and started messing around. Yes, I am that kind of person. Since I liked the outcome, I thought I will share it with you. Enjoy! It really was easy, only took about 45-50 minutes.

What you will need:
- white base (best is a cream one)
- illuminator & primer (optional)
- colorful eyeshadows of your choice
- white gel or liquid liner
- black liner + mascara
- metallic lipstick
- highlighter
I started out by priming my eyes with the Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk. I could’ve used the same product as what I’ve used on my face, but I prefer this one on my eyes. You need the white base to make the colorful eyeshadows on top of it pop, otherwise, they might come through a bit less intense. I applied yellow eyeshadow on both of my eyes as a next step, as I wanted them to be the same color. There was no rhyme or reason behind how I applied it, no specific shape. You can be as messy as you want. After my eyes were done I’ve moved on to my face. First I’ve primed it with the Hangover Face Primer by Too Faced. Then for some luminosity, I added some of the Hot Sand Illuminator from Nars generously. As the last step for my base, I applied the Kryolan TV Paint Stick in the shade ’00’ which is just basically a white creamy product in a stick form.

Now comes the fun part. Just take loads of bright shadows (or pastel if you prefer) and apply them generously. I mainly used my Morphe 35B palette and the burnt orange shade from my Milani Everyday Eyes palette (I have Earthy Elements). I just went ahead and applied how it seemed nice. The only thing you need to pay attention is to blend the colors together, so there are no harsh lines! I went down all the way to my neck as well and a bit on my chest. When I was finished I also took a big clean fluffy brush and went over the whole surface again, just to make sure everything blends together. Also, make sure they are worked into the hairline. As a small extra tip: I tried to use darker colors under my cheekbones to chisel them out slightly.
It’s time for the details! First I added some highlight on the top of my cheeks, above my eyebrows, on the bridge of the nose and the cupid’s bow. I’ve used Mary Lou Manizer by the Balm. This gives more dimension to the face. Then I drew a thick eyeliner with the Kat von D Tattoo Liner in ‘Trooper’. I also drew another really thin line under my eyes, sort of parallel with my liner. You can see it if you look carefully. Then I applied my Urban Decay Perversion Mascara. I also ran the mascara and some black eyeshadow through my eyebrows. You can always add a pair of false eyelashes, but I didn’t feel the need.
I wasn’t too sure what lip product to go with, but I decided next to my Milani Amore Mattalics Lip créme in the shade ‘Automattic Touch’ and patted some of the iridescent purple shade from the Morphe palette on top of it. The last product I used was my white Inglot AMC Eyeliner Gel. It doesn’t have a fantasy name but runs under the number ’76’. You have to be careful with this product, as it’s way too slippery and creamy, but as long as you only take a little bit on your brush it should be fine. I wanted to add some details to my work, as it still seemed a bit flat. I just drew some crosses under my eyes in a triangle shape, some on my forehead and chest, my neck and also some lines on my lips. I also added a dot in the inner corner of my eyes and three dots on each side between the eyeliners. I also drew a line under my eyebrows as a sort of highlight. After this extra step, I was happy with the finish.

Be warned that this is a pain to remove… I was lounging around in this makeup for a while as I didn’t want the hassle, but obviously, I couldn’t put it off forever. It stained my skin in a couple of places and also found some rainbow colors at my hairline the next day…
What do you think? Do you ever sit down in the middle of the night, if inspiration strikes?
Have a lovely day!
