Another year, another project pan. After my last two project pans that only partly succeeded I realized where I went wrong. I never really tailored it to my needs or the ways I use my collection. I got so caught up in all the panning videos on Youtube I forgot that the way they do it might not be realistic for me. So here I am, giving things another go.

After trying to do year-long projects I had to realize, that a shorter term one might be more suited to me. I like to be creative with makeup and if I am restricted to a few products I find it hard to stick to it. In the beginning, I’m always eager to make progress, but as the months go on I get bored and stop using the items featured. To not to fall in the same trap again I decided to only run this project for half a year, this way I can stay motivated till the end of it. Although this post is going up late I started to use these products at the beginning of January and I plan to finish on the 9th of July.

I also decided to have different goals for different products as it is probably not realistic to use up every single thing I choose to pan. I feel great about these changes, and without further ado, let’s see what I will attempt to pan this time around.

  1. MAC Strobe cream
  2. Benefit Hoola Bronzer
  3. Benefit Bellabamba blush
  4. Benefit Brow zings ‘medium’
  5. Urban Decay Foxy eyeshadow
  6. Urban Decay double sided eyeliner
  7. Urban Decay primer potion in Eden
  8. MAC Ririwoo lipstick
  9. Salt of the Earth natural deodorant
  10. Becca shimmering skin perfector mini in Opal

Now I have different goals on these as I mentioned earlier. I tried to think about how much I use these products and what’s realistic for me. Usually, I wear makeup about 5-6 times a week and most of the time it is fairly natural, but it’s still a full face.

Some of these products are already loved, they just need a bit of a push to get them out of my collection. I am aiming to finish the Strobe cream, Hoola bronzer, Foxy eyeshadow, the Urban Decay eyeliner and RiriWoo lipstick fully.

The strobe cream I use under my foundation every day I do my makeup. It adds a little extra glow to my skin which I like. This cream is not only getting old in my collection but it’s also a non-cruelty free item. It’s only a mini travel size that I used before, it shouldn’t be too hard to finish.

Same with my Hoola bronzer. Just like the Bellabamba blush, it came as part of their Christmas blush set, about four years ago. You know I had them long if I tell you that I got it before the time there was a Hoola light. Bellabamba also got discontinued since then. It’s a shame, it was a beautiful blush. I try to use both of these each time I am doing my makeup. Hoola already has a pig pan showing in the middle, it shouldn’t be an issue to finish. Bellabamba, on the other hand, has so much product in there, there is no way I can finish it, but I would like to hit pan on it. Hopefully, it is achievable.

The Foxy eyeshadow is something else I am sure I can finish. It’s from my Naked2 palette and was part of my previous project pan. There is about half of the eyeshadow left, maybe less. I use this every day to set my eyeshadow primer and also as a highlight if I am doing a matte look. I am really confident that I can finish this, it is really easy to get through shades like this.

The Urban Decay dual-ended eyeliner is getting a bit old as well. I really like this liner, on one, is the black shade Perversion and Pistol on the other. Perversion doesn’t have more than one use in it I’m sure of that, whereas Pistol is still okay for a few more rounds. All in all this liner is already well-loved, I’m sure it will be one of the first products to go.

The last item I aim to fully finish is my MAC RiriWoo lipstick. This was my very first high-end makeup item and my very first MAC product as well. I still remember how happy I was when I purchased it. For a long time, I used it only for special occasions, but I know I have to use it up because it’s older than I dare to admit. This is the only lip product I have in the project, hopefully, I can finish it in half a year. It’s a really dry matte formula, not the most comfortable on the lips, but nothing a little gloss can’t help with.

A makeup item I would love to hit pan on is my Becca Opal highlighter. This is only a travel sized item, so hopefully, I can reach my goal. It is a beautiful shade, compliments my skin tone well, and I can either create a natural glow or build it up for a more intense finish. I like to use it in the inner corners of my eyes, on my browbones or as an eyeshadow topper as well.

I’ve set myself the same goal with the Benefit Brow zings. I’ve had it for a long time but haven’t reached an awful lot for them. On one side it has some wax and in the other pan, you have a powder product. I usually use the tinted wax first, to set my eyebrow hairs in place, then I go in with the powder to fill in the gaps and shape. I always find that the wax is a bit too warm toned, which doesn’t really show until you apply it. This is part of the reason I haven’t reached for it that often. I can make it work though and since I use it every day for my brows I hope I can hit pan on both sides.

The Eden eyeshadow primer is another item I’ve tried to pan previously. I love this product, but a little goes a long way. Hopefully, I can finish it soon, but I wasn’t sure I can finish it fully, so I set myself the goal to use up at least half of it. I use it almost every single day, so it should be okay.

The last item is the only non-makeup related product on my list. It is the Salt of Earth natural deodorant. This is a fairly recent purchase but since I always forget to reach for it I thought I will add it to the list so I can remind myself every day to use it instead of my other deodorant. I was on the hunt for a natural cruelty-free deodorant and this ticks both of those boxes. It is also vegan and you can find it in most health/natural stores. It’s a crystal deodorant and you have to use it on wet skin or wet the crystal otherwise it won’t glide on the skin. I find it effective, I just need to keep it in the bathroom so I can always wet it by the sink. I’ve never used any deodorant in this formula before, therefore I am not sure how long it lasts. My goal is to use up at least half of it.

Are you doing any project pans this year?

Have a lovely day!
