Whenever I think of Valentine's day, I think of soft, romantic looks, loads of pinks, maybe some lighter reds. We celebrate really chilled, with a home cooked meal, but if you go out maybe this look can serve as a bit of inspiration.

I’ve started the look with my eyes. Instead of going down the regular root and using a primer I’ve prepared my eyelids with a concealer. I’ve then set it with a neutral tone from the same Wet n’ Wild palette we’ll use for the whole eye look. I’ve started to softly blend the warmer, bottom transition shade in the crease. To build up the intensity I went in with the orangy shade a bit lower in my crease and the outer corner as well. This is the same shade I’ve smudged under my lower lashline. Once it was all done and blended I’ve applied the darker warm brown shade all over my lid. Then I reached for my fluffy brush and blended it together with my crease, so there were no harsh lines. If the intensity of the lid shade fades a bit go back in and apply more. Then blend again and keep repeating this step until you are happy with the intensity. And now comes the star of the show, the Becca shimmering skin perfector in prismatic amethyst. I applied it starting from the inner corner, till about the middle of my eyelid, softly blending it over the brown. This highlighter has a cold pink hue to it, and it instantly adds to my brown lids a more purple hue, I love it! It would look really stunning on top of a deep dark chocolate brown as well. Just look at those before and after pictures! As a last touch, I’ve added two coats of my favourite Too Faced mascara and applied the Urban Decay Pistol eyeliner to my waterline. I couldn’t find it anywhere to link it for you guys, so I’m wondering if they’ve discontinued it.

After my eyes were done I’ve moved onto complexion. I wanted to keep it nice and simple, nothing too harsh. To achieve a nice glow, I’ve blended Mac’s strobe cream mainly on my cheeks and primed my T-zone with the blurring primer from Cover Fx. My foundation choice that day was the Becca skin love foundation and I’ve paired it with the same concealer I’ve used earlier to prime my eyes. To keep it all in place I’ve powdered lightly all over my face before going in with my Hoola bronzer just on the perimeter of my face. I’ve placed some Benefit Bellabamba blush on the apples of my cheek for that rosy flush. The blush in itself is already glowy, but for a more intense highlight I’ve topped it up with Opal by Becca. Just look at that glow.

All we have left is brows and lips. I’ve set my brow hairs in place with the mega clear mascara and was it dried I filled in the gaps with the Illamasqua eyebrow powder. After I was done I’ve applied some of the opal highlighter to my browbone.

For my lips, I’ve used two products. First I went in with the Charlotte Tilbury pillowtalk lip pencil to line my lips and then applied sorbet by Becca.

That’s it, the look was done. What do you think? Do you celebrate Valentine’s day? If so, have fun & have a lovely day!
