Happy Valentine's day, guys! After my soft Valentine's day look here's a bolder, slightly more artistic look. I have some neon shadows, and this is the perfect time to bring them out for a play.

I’ve ordered some neon eye dusts from Stargazer, and it was finally my time to play with them.

Usually, I prime my eyes with an eye primer, but I decided to apply some concealer to my eyes instead. I’ve used Mac Pro conceal, as it’s nice and creamy, it glides on to my eyes easily. To set it I’ve dusted some of my Ben Nye neutral set powder over it. These powders are so underrated, I don’t know why no one talks about them. Never mind, that is a topic for another day.

After that came the real star of the show, the neon eye dust. I took the shade 205, which is a bright, fluorescent pink. I blended this in my crease. It’s such a good formula, needed no building at all. It blended super easy while still staying bright and packing a punch with that color, really impressive. I highly recommend Stargazer, really affordable and the brand delivers.

The next step was to carve out the liner that goes above my crease and ends in a little heart. For this, I’ve used the white (76) Inglot Amc eyeliner gel on a tiny brush. Unfortunately, it started breaking a little, but I quite like the lived in effect it gave to the whole look.

After this, I moved on to the lid space. I took a small flat brush and applied the Stila Golden girl glitter & glow shadow all over, but I made sure it stays under the neon dust I blended out. I didn’t apply this first, as I wanted my crease area to be purely a matte fluorescent shade, rather than having some shimmer running through it.

We only have one big step left that is the liner. I wasn’t quite sure what to do with it, but then I’ve settled on a tried and tested method. I’ve paired my Inglot 79 AMC eyeliner gel, which is a deep red color with my Stila magnificent metals shimmer & glow liquid eye shadow in the shade Pigalle. I’ve also dusted some of the neon eye dust on top of it to soften it and tie it in a bit more.

To highlight the inner corner of my eyes I went a bit high maintenance and used two products. I used another Stargazer product, shade 13 from their regular eye dust range. This is a really icy white powder and I felt it was a bit too cool toned for this look, so I warmed it up with my Becca highlighter in the shade prismatic amethyst.

I also wanted to smoke out my lower lashline. For this, I have used a Mac blush in the shade Breath of plum and blended it out with the smallest touch of the neon eye dust. I also added a pink liner to my waterline for some added color (we are clearly lacking it with this look…), which was the Barry M 23 kohl liner. The last touch to this eye look was mascara, which is one of my usual choices, perversion by Urban Decay. Love, love, love it.

All I had left to do were brows. My new favorite combination lately is the mega clear mascara by Wet n’ Wild with the Thunder eyebrow cake of Illamasqua. I usually set my eyebrows in place first with the gel and once it’s dry I correct the overall shape and fill in the sparse areas with the powder. Voilà, we are done.

What do you think? Any special plans for Valentine’s day? Have fun!

Have a lovely day!
